Introduction
“Pluribus” means many, and we are made stronger with diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and skills. We need to appreciate what we each bring uniquely, yet clearly define what should be the same among us all. “Unum” refers to the baseline expectations and knowledge that we expect of all Pluribus Digital employees.
To help government succeed in the digital age, every Pluribus employee should understand:
- Purpose (why we exist). Why the company exists and what problems we are here to solve.
- Capabilities (what we do). What abilities we bring to bear, typically in combination, to solve problems.
- Methods (how we do it). How we apply methods, practices, and approaches consistently across delivery efforts.
- Case Studies (where we’ve done it). Examples of applying our capabilities to customer problems.
What's Here
This Unum Field Manual outlines how we do things. In the interest of our Default to Open principle, this manual is public. As appropriate, it links to other information that is only accessible to Pluribus employees. Deeper content referenced in this manual may include:
- Other Pluribus GitHub repos, which may be public or not
- Pluribus Training Resources file share
- Pluribus Artifact Library file share
- External public resources
This Field Manual is primarily about methods (how we do it) and a bit about capabilities (what we do).
What's Not Here
The Unum Field Manual is primarly about how we deliver for our customers. It does not cover employee handbook, benefits, processes, policies, etc. Our intranet site is the starting point for that information.
